Export to Final Draft

JotterPad can convert plain text Fountain syntax to Final Draft (.fdx). You can export text files to .fdx with the following extensions:

  • .fountain


Android:

  1. In the file directory, press and hold a file thumbnail.
  2. Tap the share icon, then tap Fountain.
  3. Choose a directory that you want to save the document to and tap Save.
By default, JotterPad saves your document to the Downloads folder.

iOS:

  1. Tap on the file that you would like to export.
  2. Tap on the โ€ฆ icon.
  3. Tap on the Export button.
  4. Tap on Final Draft (.fdx).
  5. Select the Third Party App that you would like to save or share your document to.

Mac:
Select File > Select Export To > select Final Draft (.fdx).

Tips: The title page can be found in Final Draftโ€™s Title Page window.


In-app Purchase: This feature requires JotterPad Creative or Pro Cloud In-app Purchase.

Web:

  1. Select the file that you would like to export.
  2. Click on the download icon. then tap on Final Draft (.fdx).
  3. Click on the Export button.
  4. Choose a directory that you want to save the document to.
  5. Click on Save.
