Add TeX Equation

What is TeX Equation?

TeX Equation is a typesetting system designed to allow users to create or format complex mathematical formulas. TeX Equations can only be added in the following extensions:

• .txt
• .md

Add TeX Equation

Android:

1. Open the Editor.
2. Tap on the Insert button, which is located next to the Strikethrough button.
3. Tap on the Block TeX Equation or Inline TeX Equation button.
4. Select the TeX equation(s) that you would like to insert.
5. Tap on ✓ at the top left corner of your screen to insert the TeX equation(s) that you have selected.

Alternatively, use syntax $, then the mathematical expression and end with $. For example, $e^{x}$.

iOS:

1. Open the Editor.
2. Tap on the Insert button, which is located next to the Strikethrough button.
3. Tap on the Block TeX Equation or Inline TeX Equation button.
4. Select the TeX equation(s) that you would like to insert.
5. Tap on ✓ at the top left corner of your screen to insert the TeX equation(s) that you have selected.

Mac:

This feature is not available in JotterPad Mac.​

Web:

1. Open the Editor.
2. Click on the + button, which is located next to the Paragraph Style button.
3. Click on the Block TeX Equation or Inline TeX Equation button.
4. Click on the TeX equation(s) that you would like to use.
5. Click on the Insert button to insert your selected TeX equation(s).

Alternatively, use syntax $, then the mathematical expression and end with $. For example, $e^{x}$.

Edit TeX Equation

Android:

1. Tap on the TeX equation that you would like to edit.
2. Tap on the pen icon to edit.
3. Once you are done, tap on ✓ at the top left corner of your screen to save your changes.

iOS:

1. Tap on the TeX equation that you would like to edit.
2. Tap on the pen icon to edit.
3. Once you are done, tap on ✓ at the top left corner of your screen to save your changes.

Mac:

This feature is not available in JotterPad Mac.​

Web:

1. Click on the TeX equation that you would like to edit.
2. Click on the pen icon to edit.
3. Once you are done, click on the Insert button to save your changes.
