# Move a Text File

**Android**:

1. In your Local file directory, tap and hold a file thumbnail.
2. Tap `Copy`.
3. Navigate to a folder or directory that you would like to move your text file to.
4. Tap on the `⋮` icon, which can be found on the top right-hand corner of your screen.
5. Tap `Paste`. 

|| Move operation will be removed starting from v14.1.0. Please use copy and paste operation instead.

**iOS**:
Move operation is not supported at the moment. A workaround is to copy and paste file to the desired folder.

1. In your Local file directory, tap and hold a file thumbnail.
2. Tap `Copy`.
3. Navigate to a folder or directory that you would like to move your text file to.
4. Tap on the `…` icon, which can be found on the top right-hand corner of your screen.
5. Tap `Paste`.

**Mac**:
For locally saved files, you can move text files to another folder via desktop.

For cloud files:
1. Go to a cloud account.
2. Right-click a file > click `Copy`.
3. Navigate to a folder or directory that you would like to move your text file to.
4. Right-click anywhere > click `Paste`.

**Web**:
1. Locate the text file that you would like to move and click  `⋮` .
2. Click `Copy`  and click on the folder that you would like to move your text file to. 
3. Click `Paste`.
