# Export to Microsoft Word

JotterPad can convert plain text Markdown syntax to Microsoft Word document (.docx). You can export text files to .docx with the following extensions: ​
* .txt ​
* .markdown ​
* .md ​
* .fountain (Only for JotterPad iOS and Mac)​

**Android:**​
1. In the file directory, long press and hold a file thumbnail. ​
2. Tap on the share icon, then tap on `DOCX`. ​
3. Choose a directory that you want to save the document to.
4. Tap on `Save`. ​
|| By default, JotterPad saves your document to the Downloads folder. ​

**iOS:**
1. Tap on the file that you would like to export.
2. Tap on the `…` icon. 
3. Tap on the `Export` button.
4. Tap on `Word (.docx)`.
5. Choose a directory that you want to save the document to.  
|| By default, JotterPad saves your document to Files > On My iPhone > JotterPad > Export folder. 

**Mac:**​
Select `File` > `Export To` > select `Word (Docx.)`.

**Web:** 
1. Select the file that you would like to export.
2. Click on the download icon, then tap on `Word (.docx)`.
3. Click on the `Export` button. 
4. Choose a directory that you want to save the document to. 
5. Click on `Save`.
