# Add or Edit Text File in Non-Writable Storage

**Android**:
JotterPad does not support adding and editing text files in the following directory: 

* Device System folders 
* External removable storage (e.g. SD card) 
* Unmounted storage folders 

A warning message will appear:

“This folder is not writable.”

JotterPad supports adding and editing text files locally and on external removable storage.
